Completed in 2007, this Skidmore, Owings, & Merrill-designed, 35-story, million-plus square foot mixed-use development consists of 227 condominium apartments, 132 rental apartments, a Whole Foods Market and a Barnes & Noble Booksellers. Though TriBeCa has long been a destination neighborhood for celebrities, models and moguls craving more space, the minds behind 101 Warren intended to give buyers more choices under one roof. Residences include 'Skyhomes', 'Tower Lofts,' townhouses and more. Under that same roof is a pine forest, a boxwood maze, a spa, a media center and a playroomin what developers call its 'artrium.' The project's developer commissioned a 14.5 foot high sculpture by Joel Shapiro for the building's entrance its two double-height lobbies boast large tapestries by Roy Lichtenstein.
